APPLICATION OF THE MARK PLAN 1 Using the Mark Structure • The examples of replies given in the mark structure are not can be definitive. They are merely offered as an example with the type of response which may be given by candidates. Marking should be confident. Marks should not be deducted pertaining to inaccurate or irrelevant answers. Half-marks must not be used. Marking • • • • • All tagging must be done in red. The exact level and the draw awarded for each sub-question must be shown obviously in the margin of the screenplay at the end in the answer e. g. L3/12 At the end of each and every question the entire marked achieved by the candidate for that problem must be shown circled inside the margin. The total mark for every single question must be transferred to the front page with the script. The marks granted for three questions has to be indicated and totalled. It is most important that examiners suggest clearly within the body of the response where the level has been attained and where marks will be gained.
