The Iroquois Tribe

The traditions of the Iroquois people acquired much to do with their environment, ways of living, and meals. They had a lot of things in common with other tribes, while also having some variations. These small differences happen to be what made each and every tribe one of a kind. The Iroquois lived in the eastern woodlands near the Superb Lakes and in the Ohio River Pit. Because of the abundance of drinking water, they were able to grow all their crops very well there. The Iroquois Confederacy consisted of 6th separate nations around the world. For the most part, these types of six countries were similar. Although, there was a few small differences. The 6 countries included the Oneida, Cayuga, Tuscarora, Mohawk, Seneca, and Onondaga. The Confederacy acted as an arbiter to get the 6th nations. It was used in times when a country couldn't solve a dispute by themselves. The nations could aid one another in times of war, making them a reckoning power to be dealt with. They were divided during the American Revolution, once two of the nations fought against the United kingdom and the other folks did not. The Iroquois had many sources of food. 3 main crops were Corn, Beans, and, Squash. These kinds of plants help keep each other alive and growing well. The beans were able to grow up the corn, although also to get corn from falling. The squash helped keep predators away from the fields. The Iroquois had many reasons for growing these foods. They believed these plants had been a gift in the " Superb Spirit” and were worshiped. They also experienced many benefits for the Iroquois diet. The corn acquired many sugars, the lead pages was filled with vitamins, and beans offered protein. Those sources of meals, the Iroquois wouldn't have already been able to endure as well as they were doing. The structure that the Iroquois had was made well together many uses. Mainly, that they built different types of longhouses. These were roughly 15 feet taller and twenty feet extensive.
