Subjective The role of foreign direct expenditure (FDI) in small island developing states (SIDS) can be an issue which was neglected till relatively recently. The reasons for this lack of curiosity are unsurprising, given the two low overall volume of capital flows involved and the standard neglect of issues relating directly to SIDS in the popular theoretical and empirical economics literature. For SIDS themselves however , FDI represents a significant additional method to obtain investment capital and a probably critical factor to development and growth. This conventional paper represents one of the first attempts to analyse the determinants from the inflows of FDI to SIDS. The analysis is definitely undertaken inside the context in the existing materials on the determinants of FDI inflows, including insights sucked from recent analysis on the determinants of development in tiny states.
