With the slogan " you press the button, all of us will do the rest”, George Eastman (a high school dropout) put the primary simple camera into the hands of a regarding consumers in 1888 (" History of Kodak, " d. d., pra. 1). For several years, Eastman Kodak was practically the only film manufacturer around so they'd a monopoly in film production. Kodak was able to control the timing for launching new products in to the market and was able to make changes as a result of customer require. Until the early 1980's, Kodak owned the film development market with very little competition. This abruptly changed once Fuji Organization and many other general store brands began making high quality film as well (Brickley, Smith, & Zimmerman, 2009, p. 358). Technological improvements, robotics, fresh design features and better communications managed to get possible for the other companies to create new products for the market in much less period. It was right now months instead of years (Brickley et ing., 2009, s. 358). Film and related products became more easily available, resulting in a even more competitive film production market. Kodak's monopoly was removed. This caused Eastman Kodak to make becomes its business architecture in 1984; the appearance of the current firm architecture no more fit the business enterprise environment to get the film industry. One of the largest factors to stimulate Eastman Kodak to make these changes, had been increased competition and lowered market share. The stock value of Eastman Kodak went from $85 a talk about in 1982 in order to over $71 in 1984. This is a drop of 16% inside their stock selling price (Brickley et al., 2009, p. 358).
