Explore how time and place are used in Welles' Citizen Kane to shape the audiences comprehension of the nature of ego. In your response make reveal reference to the film Citizen Kane can be Orson Welles dramatic characterization of the disastrous effects of one particular mans excessive egotistical travel for notoriety which gradually isolates him over time. Through the use of time and place, the film shows the changes and associated with Kane's ego throughout his life. From his years as a child, to the elevation of his ego sometime later it was to its decline plus the negative impacts these got on Sl?de. The splitting up from his mother during childhood enormously impacted in Kane's spirit. During his childhood, Sl?de was used by Thatcher, which usually resulted in him being segregated from his mother.
